Spring Semester 2014

So this semester, I did a lot of my hours in the shop but the majority of my hours were spent as a dresser for the Spring Dance Concert. I did a lot of prop work and painting for Six Characters in Search of an Author. I painted the center platform that was our "stage."This is what it looked like:

My next assignment was the Spring Dance Concert. I was a dresser, which was a cool experience that I've never done before. I had to help the dancers get in and out of costumes and I also had to assist in quick changes. Another assignment I had was to make sure the costumes were back on the rack. 

I really liked working in Production this semester. The majority of my time was spent as a costume person, which was cool because I had never had experience in costumes before.

Hello everyone.

So this semester of production, I spent the majority of it working in the shops. I got to work in the costume shop for the first time ever. I had never done anything in there and I wanted to get experience in there and I did. I worked in there for the run of Big Love. One of the things I did was I worked on ripping the wedding dresses. This is a picture I took of Layne's wedding dress

Another thing I did was that I was the sound board operator for the Fall Dance Concert. My job, simply, was to press the buttons on the computer and make sure they went. I also got to experience working with projections. I had never done sound before so this was a good experience for me.

Because I was in both main stage productions this semester, I made sure to get all my hours by working in the shops. This was a busy semester for me and I can't wait to do it again next semester.
